Anne Barnetson is an illustrator and bookseller living and working on unceded Noongar Boodja, in Boorloo / Perth, Western Australia. Her work encompasses portraiture, still-life painting and comics with occasional forays into lettering and signwriting.

Clients include Ten Network, The Piddington Society, The Lifted Brow, RTR FM‘s annual In The Pines event with Non-Drowsy Design, and West Australian Newspapers Ltd.

Her work has been featured in the finalist category of the 2006 Moran Portrait Prize, the Royal Agricultural Hall of Fame and regularly on news networks when court sketches are used.

Recent (ish) projects include the FAIL paintings, a series of works on canvas documenting the purest fragments of tragicomedy on the internet in the form of reproduced film stills and images. Book reviews and a style diary, as well as portraits of friends at the kitchen table, make up most of her personal work, as well as an ongoing comic about retail called Customer Service Wolf. The collected comics are available in book form from Australian bookshops.

Her interests include reading, single malt scotch and true crime.
