This month a young adult novel by Australian author Danielle Binks came out, with an image on the cover that I made. Danielle and her editor at Hachette worked with me throughout the process, and the brief had lots of detail about the main characters Ellie and Riya. We had to narrow down an image which worked for The Monster of Her Age, a fresh and contemporary love story set in Hobart / Nipaluna, which (among other things) deals with identity, trauma, privilege and forgiveness.

I worked entirely by hand, scanning at multiple stages. The design team were able to tweak the final components to make the cover ready for print. I’m looking forward to seeing it on book shop shelves!
